TELEPHONIC COUNSELLING

For over 25 years Deborah has worked as an art therapist, trauma counsellor and psychotherapist in private practice and as independent consultant. For the past 10 years she has provided services for both in person and telephonic clients to employees across Canada for two large employee assistance program companies. For the last three consecutive years, she has been awarded “the shining star – the five star program’ for customer service, flexibility and responsiveness. Alongside her career as a psychotherapist, she has worked as a trauma specialist as part of a medical /dental team; with refugees who were victims of organized violence and torture; and for the past 10 years has worked as a trauma counsellor: providing onsite support for employees impacted by post-traumatic stress in the workplace.

Deborah holds a Masters degree in art therapy from Concordia university, certification as a Traumatologist and compassion fatigue specialist from the traumatology institute of the university of south Florida , level 1 training in EM DR and the EFT certificate of completion, as well as, she is a licensed psychotherapist with the l’Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec.
