Bonny has been counseling for over 18 years, and was a university instructor for 14 years. She works with individuals, groups, couples and families. She is a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Saskatchewan specializing in counselling, a Canadian Certified Counselor and an approved counselor of Health Canada First Nations and Inuit Health Program.
She has been using a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Psychodynamic, Psychodrama,
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Transactional Analysis Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Brief Psychotherapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy and Self-Regulation Therapy.
She works with clients from diverse backgrounds and have a particular passion for grief counseling, anger management, critical incident debriefing, psycho-educational presentation and working with survivors of various forms of trauma and abuse. She believes that counselling is a process of working through healing, forgiveness and regaining a sense of well-being and control in one’s life. The counselor’s role is to facilitate this process and empower clients to reach this goal.
